what to expect

Opting for microblading means you won’t have to wake up early every morning to perfect your brows, but they won’t look Instagram level flawless right away. Typically, your brows will take seven to 14 days to heal. During the first seven days, avoid getting your eyebrows wet. This includes showering and washing your face. You should also avoid intense exercise, applying makeup, and spending prolonged time in the sun! To help the healing process, you’ll need to apply an ointment daily throughout the duration of your brows' healing stages.

Keep in mind, when you have microblading done, you’ll receive detailed instructions on aftercare.

Microblading Procedure: Full Demonstration

Now it's time for you to see firsthand from our trainer how to proceed with a microblading procedure.

Start off by sanitizing the skin to get rid of excess oils or any bacteria, preventing infection. Next is mapping, and every client's face will create a different brow outline based on their symmetry and face shape. Using your Brow Mapping String, plan from the center and go outward as demonstrated.

After establishing the brow design with the mapping, use your pencil to fill in the brow as demonstrated. Stay close to the natural brow shape so that everything blends very well. Even the thickness of your stroke with the pencil will make a difference in the brow too so be aware.

Wipe off the access brow mapping leaving just the brow outlines with the fill. Be cautious not to wipe off the brow you created. Inspect the symmetry of your design by having your client sit up, because gravity can change appearance. Ask your client for any questions.

Work with your client to get the right brow shape, they have the most experience on what knowing what feels right!

Remember, your goal is to create natural looking brows using your client's natural shapes and their eyebrow hair lines. To help create the natural look, round as you map out the bottom and top of the eyebrow hair line. Be sure to close off the tails.

As an optional step, you can also use a Sharpie Marker to mark dots for each stroke also demonstrated.

Clean the hairs from the eyebrow outlines before microblading.

MICROBLADING Procedure #2

Our client here has great brows for microblading.

Start by sanitizing the skin as usual.  Get in between the brows especially since it is the treatment area to clear of dirt, makeup, and bacteria.

For mapping, use your pre-inked string and leave your ink strokes starting from the middle and continue outwards as demonstrated. Try to keep symmetry. Changing vertical symmetry makes the brows more dramatic in expression. Try to follow the natural brow shape.

Use the china marker to fill in the brows after the mapping is set as demonstrated. Use the mapping like an outline for the brow shape. Wipe away the unnecessary stroke lines that get in the way of the brow shapes.

During the procedure, work with your client to get the shape that they're looking for by asking questions. Use your 3-point technique to execute great results while using your tool.

MICROBLADING Procedure #3 (Touch-Up)

Our client is due for a touch-up session.

Start by sanitizing the skin to clear out any dirt, makeup, and bacteria.

We'll be going over the brows with more strokes to refill any missing areas and add more depth to the current strokes.

Your objective is mainly to sustain the brows from the results of last session, not changing their shape.
